The Virginia SCC requires a paper form to be mailed in in order for you to intervene or upload comments to the case electronically.
You can intervene in the docket and / or send comments, regardless of whether your property is directly effected or not and you don't need a lawyer to do either.
Additionally, you don't have to travel to Richmond to participate as the SCC has remote participation capabilities and provides audio and video capabilities for hearings within its courtrooms (if you are a respondent you will need to file a motion to request to be able to participate remotely, if you are not able to travel to Richmond for the hearing). Importantly, when participating as a respondent, you can ask questions of the energy companies and when speaking during the case there is no time limit on your testimony!
The MARL Docket has not been filed with the SCC yet , We will let you know once the docket is filed (sign up for our emails or check back)
Folks in this area have intervened at the VA SCC before and will be available to help when that time comes - don't hesitate - get a VA SCC efiling account setup now!
