Above are the Mid-Atlantic corridors selected by the DOE for Phase 2.
These are 2 miles wide from the midpoint of the existing line!
There are no specific geographic details on these corridors and the DOE is not planning on providing further information in Phase 2! There will be no public meetings !! DOE is not even sharing the information it received from the submissions in Phase 1.
The comment period is 45 days long and ends June 24, 2024. You can submit comments electronically to NIETC@hq.doe.gov and you can send more than one set of comments.
First, we need to get DOE to notify landowners in the corridors and extend the comment period to start after landowner notification and be extended beyond 45 days! Having our congressional representatives press for this notification and comment extension as well will be helpful. (templates are downloadable below)
Secondly, we will need to provide more detailed comments on the specific impacts of the Mid-Atlantic corridors.(Additional guidance and templates coming soon!)
